I really loved this book because it was a very quick read and instantly gave me tools I could use that started helping right away. I read it in 2 days just sitting in car line waiting for my kids. In fact, I'm sharing some of these techniques with them! It's so simple, but the author (Tim Vanderkamp) arms us with techniques that I had never thought of and really work! This book is different than most self-help books that I have read because, instead of talking at you, the author speaks from personal experience, which in my book, gives him more credibility. If it worked for him, it should work for me, right? He doesn't talk down to or patronize the reader, he's been there. I am recommending this book to all my friends and family who suffer from negative thinking syndrome and have that pity-party going on in their heads.Product details

I know and respect Tim. I bought to support him, and after reading, have to say I agree with what he has to say. These techniques work. Train your mind to operate in even one or two of these ways, and you will experience greater peace of mind.
Useful and practical advice. He seems like a genuinely good dude and his writing style is colloquial and even funny at times, never preachy or pretentious. Simple, helpful tips to stop negative thinking before it gains momentum and messes up your day. Thanks tim!
tim's thoughtful, conversational tone makes this book one of the most approachable on mindfulness i've come across. i read it aloud with my roommates. it is both straightforward and clearly written with love. share it with a friend, and then with someone who wouldn't necessarily pick up a book on mindfulness without your help!

Sometimes we get caught up in a funk. Negative thoughts bring us down and distract us from our lives. This book, in just a few short chapters, presents some very clear approaches to quell an uneasy mind. You will read this book and say "that makes sense" and find yourself immediately practicing the approaches to reducing the negative thoughts. This is a great little book!
I bought this book because of how much I have enjoyed and connected with the author's social media content. I have to say the book exceeded my expectations even so. It is short, easily digestible in chunks or a single sitting, and practical, practical, practical. I am also a pretty direct person, and the absence of "airy fairy" feel good-isms really spoke to me. I have already used the techniques described on numerous occassions, and have referred back to it several times. If anything, I wish it was longer, and look forward to the next installment!
